User Reviews about SterlingTek's POWWER Panasonic DMW BCF10PP ID secured battery 1400 mAH

I purchased two of these (made in China) batteries for my PANASONIC LUMIX DMC-TS1. On receipt, I checked them to see if they worked in the camera and they worked just fine but, it seemed that they weren't lasting as long as they should so I ran some tests. Charged one up until the "green light" on the charger just went out. Put it in the camera and put the camera in record mode (video). These so called 1400 mah batteries were able to record about 65 to 75 minutes of continuous video (no zooming, LCD on the whole time). Then I did the same test with the Japanese Lumix Panasonic battery (940 mah) and was able to eek out 104 minutes of video. Test was run on only two batteries and I only tested each one two times but results agreed. Go figure. I recommend you spend the few extra bucks and get the Panasonic battery. -- It works in the Panasonic camera, but.....
The Lumix owner's manual explains the replacement batteries must be "certified" by Panasonic. I had the experience of buying SterlingTek's battery and not having it work. However, I called SterlingTek up and they immediately sent a replacement and the postage to return the old one. It seems that Panasonic keeps changing their camera's so there must be a current ID chip in the battery. The replacement battery works fine. Holds charge and works well. I have not yet determined how much longer this extra high capacity battery lasts in the camera. -- After market Battery for PANASONIC LUMIX DMC-TSC1)
